Dr. Csongor Suba, prosthetic dentist
Implantology, Prosthetic dentistry and Gnathology
Implantology:
a dental implant is an artificial tooth root replacement and is
used in prosthetic dentistry to support restorations that
resemble a tooth or group of teeth. The biggest advantage of
implants is that we don’t need to prepare the healthy (neighbor)
teeth for a bridge. In our clinic we use the following implant
systems: Nobel Biocare Replace (www.nobelbiocare.com),
AlphaBio
and Pitt-Easy (http://www.oraltronics.org).
I’m
specialized in preparing crowns, bridges, inlays and dentures
with recording of the TMJ (temporo-mandibular joint) movements,
as well as the conservative treatment of complaints concerning
TMJ (malfunctions – grinding of teeth, pressure, clicking,
head-, ear-, neck-, shoulder-, or backache etc).
An indispensable condition of adequate prosthetic dentistry
meeting high aesthetic requirements is accurate functioning, the
assurance of “joint correct” position by a special gnathological
treatment.
The correct movements and
the position of the TMJ’s are localized by axiography, facebow
record (with bite fork) and bearing device registration (gothic
arch, resp. arrow-point registration).
All these information are transferred in a Quick Master articulator
and used both by the prosthetic dentist and dental technician.
Full Denture
The full denture (Ivoclar, IvoCap) is prepared with a special
reversible, thermoplastic material and imprinting technique (EX 3 N, Johannes Meist). The main point is that the margins of the denture
are located with the help of the muscular system. Aesthetics and
functionality are guaranteed by individual design and recording of
the TMJ movements.
